OH man oh man are the pictures of the Superdome roof being ripped apart incredible. I've been watching live coverage and the eye looks like it's going to go slightly east of me. Winds and rain will get heavy tonight and we've been cloud covered all day. Winds are just starting to pick up and should increase as she moves north. For those in Mississippi that are yet to get hit, Godspeed to ya. It's looking rough toward Jackson and 80 mph winds sustained are going to make for a tough day.
Been watching the live feed at:

Guess I'm kinda confused. I was reading through cnn.com's site and watchin some of their videos, it doesn't seem like much of the roof got tore off, either that, or they're a little out of date. Any links with some pics of the roof? Thanks.... _________________ XBOX v1.6c

Last report was 12% of the roof has been torn off. Remember that the storm is still pounding the sh*t out of New Orleans even though the eye wall has moved north and is approching Jackson Mississippi. Reports were that 3 holes appeared in the roof and was dropping enormous amounts of water. Over 10,000 are currently in that superdome.
Superdome and government emergency officials stressed that they did not expect the huge roof to fail because of the relatively small breaches, each about 15 to 20 feet long and 4 to 5 feet wide.

Holy crap, that really did rip the crap out of the roof. I knew this was going to be strong, but I didn't think it was going to be that strong. I also read on CNN.com that estimated overall damange was going to be somewhere around $25 billion dollars! That's f*cking incredible! And to think, I just heard about it this morning when I came into work.... _________________ XBOX v1.6c

More pictures coming out of the gulf coast area then I gotta go finish getting things ready for the high winds and rain that is to hit here tonight.
Winds have been picking up steadily here all morning long and the rain is now very steady. Katrina is coming to visit. I'd rather have the in-laws.
I'm in the far left lower corner of TN above MS and with AR to my left.

News reports have power out in the entire Metro area of New Orleans with estimates indicating that it may be out for as long as a month. Pictures coming in of looting in New Orleans now. News crews are starting to show pictures of the looting of a Win Dixie (grocery store). Jackson MS is currently getting hit with winds over 70 mph sustained. Although she is losing power, she is expected to hit Tennessee with winds between 40 - 60 mph sustained and gusts expected to be higher. Some damn fun! Thank gawd sharks like water, gonna have a lot here it would appear.
Thanks for the well wishes but honestly, it needs to go to any members south of me in Mississippi and Lousiana. They had it a lot worse then I going to.
Hurricane force winds extend out 125 miles from the core currently, that's a category one hurricane. I'm within that range as it closes. Gonna be noisy. _________________ http://twitter.com/HQ_Shark2th

You don't have to tell me about hurricanes, I am a Florida Native. I wrote that book
Anyways, May God see you all safely to the end of the storm, all who are in the path of devil.
Shark, good thing you are a creature of water. No such thing as a Tequila Hurricane. Take care and don't let your mother tell you what to do (my mom gets all freaked out during hurricanes and starts barking crazy orders.) _________________ XBOX v1.6
