I have a v1.6 xBox with a modhip and all my games run fine from the hard drive. I recently got a second box (v1.4) and have softmodded it, I've copied the games from my first box using FTP but some games won't run on the second box, they all seem to get to the main menu screen but then freeze when you try to start a game.

I've tried copying the games in several different ways, directly from one to another using a cross-over cable and also using my PC, FTPing to my PC and then back to the other box, but still it freezes. Has anyone else seen this or do you know what the problem may be ? it's driving me nuts!!

I've thought about updating the softmod with SID 4.5, will this make any difference?

how did u softmod it, try to clean ur cache folder delete the 2 files in it

Funny you should say that... I tried emptying the cache folder as I'd seen it mentioned in other threads. I then tried one of the games that hadn't worled before and it ran !!!! Cool

I soft modded using SID 3 run using the MA exploit. Is it worth re-modIding using SID 4.5 ? have any of the mods been updated ?

P.S. Does the cache folder just hold cached game data to make them load quicker, or does it hold other stuff?
