I have put off posting this for a while now. I am by no menas a n00b, but I was wondering if anyone else had this trouble and knows the reason for it? I have a version 1.0 Xbox with the Xecuter 2.3 chip. It has worked flawlessly forever and now when I went to use the new installer, it gives me an error whenever I try to install a dashboard. Any and all of the dashboards give me this error, and I get it with 2 different types of media.
Any ideas?

Yeah, it boots into AID2 just fine (after doing the work around for a virgin HDD, even though it isn't), just when installing any of the dash's I get an error about unzipping anything.

So I grabbed evox by itself and used the same media and it boots normal and I can ftp or whatever, just unzipping items in AID2 seems to be the problem.

This is definately a strange one, because UnleashX fully supports ZIP archives, I wouldn't have used it otherwise. Also, I just extracted the AID 2 ISO and double-checked the ZIP files, none are corrupt.

Another funny this is Forahobby also has a 1.0 and it tested fine on it.

I wish I had an answer why it's doing this, unfortunately I don't. Sorry man.

It must be a bad ISO. Maybe using cxbox I hurt something?

Possibly, here's another way you could try and update your iso

1) grab the install.xbe file from AID 2
2) rename it to default.xbe
3) rar the default.xbe file
4) Load up the AID 2 ISO Updater
5) Load in the original AID 2 ISO
6) load the rar file you just made as an update file
7) Save your ISO
Cool Burn

Does this help at all?

just updating the situation.I have tried the above recommendations and still have the problem. For some reason, whenever I try to install 99% of the different Applications or Dashboards I get an error stating a problem with the unzip. I starts unpacking and gets a little through it and then gives me an error.
I have had to resort to installing Evox manually and then then adding the apps I want manually. I am downloading a new copy of the AID2, hopefully mine was just corrupt or something. I am beginning to wonder if my xbox is overheating?
Any more ideas?

I have been using this particular setup since the beginning. I just manually installed everything and it seems to be working fine now. I'll give the AID2 another shot in the near future.
It had to be overheating. I can't figure out anything else.
