Free xbox live on weekends? sweet- I will prob. Still get the gold edition. But i also will TRY to buy 2 360s- one to f**k with- help the modding effort.

yea free on weekends is awesome that way avg gamers dont have to pay....I wonder if there will be a catch like you have to pay for chat or something similiar.........hope not but I hope that the 360 will not be totally complete then that kinda kills our hobby, if it can do everything the current modded box can theres no need to mod. _________________ Xbox v1.0

Now the question that keeps hitting my mind regarding the hard drives is...

That is somewhat monoploizing the industry- Xbox anyway- But i guess its to prevent "hacks".
Sony did the same with their PSP- The memory stick is a different format than what the UMD's do- Although it wouldent be possible to run a "ROM" of the game, it might be possiblle to run programs- So far im kind of extending my know how- from xbox modding, to PSP, DS and such- There not much ps2's can do- Game cubes....they just came out with the 1st mod for it- im not sure what it dose.
But i hate to say this guys, i think that the next gen consols, then the ones to follow, and so on- are going to be harder to mod. but trust me- i'll be one of the first on the scene. Two 360s, right when i get home that night (mid-night, at luanch of the system.) I'll post some internal pics of it, take it apart peice by peice. taking pics as i go- and so on.
Let the modding begin.
