I just installed the softomod so that I could activate high definition in my pal xbox. I installed one of the other dashboards just for the sake of it really to see what it was like, I tried restorind the original ms dash but when I boot it up it just says trying to connect to xbox live and then says that it cant.
I think I somehow need to reinstall the original bios can anyone help?
I was going to just format C And E but then I thought that might mean nothing would load as there would be no dashboiard??
When it is all said and done I want high def enabled but nothing else on so that I can still go onto xbox live. Im not sure but I didnt even need to install the softmod did I I just needed to goto settings? Anyway help appreciated

If you can still boot backups grab a copy of Auto Installer Deluxe. Use that to reformat disc and then to install M$ Dash and any another stuff like apps or alternative dashboards.
All games still load fine, and I can use the splinter cell exploit to get in and mess with stuff etc.. I was wondering about formatting it, so I just format it and then put on msdash??? the prob is I do not use a modchip. Ive only used a memory card so far to transfer files. Will I be alble to format it and then use the memory card to reload the original bios?

I think so, better check with the Softmod Admin "sjohn"
just eject your drive to turn on your
xbox and use the uninstal mod
feature.
if you format your drive you will
kill its ability to get online
unless you have a full backup
on your pc from before the mod
was installed
(1st thing you should have done
when you get ftp acccess, (straight
after running the exploit).
blightly I didnt see an adtual uninstall mod feature, only delte mod backup.
Like I said I can play games fine and I can get into the softmod dashboardd. But when I turn it on at the start it tries 2 boot up live but it says it cant. Cant access the original dashboard at all, so I must need to get a copy of the dashboard and get it back on right????

I read the tut. softmod and when I transfer the files needed to softmod my unmodded xbox I can't find them. I FTP the files to my modded xbox in the E:\ just like it says, and boot into MS dash to transfer the files over to the mem. card and the files are no were to be found? Someone please help me?

Lister, there should be a "Restore MS Backup" Option, just use that, and it should work fine. If it doesn't, let me know.
Sin_2, make sure you unzip the file so that you have a udata folder, place that udata folder on the root of e, and it should put everything exactly where it needs to be. _________________
sjohn, I tried that but im afraid it didnt work, being a n00b to softmodding i obviously buggered it up.
