Are the XBOX USB ports 1.0 or 2.0? Can games/music/video be played from a USB hard drive plugged into the XBOX via an adaptor of some sort?

Cheers.

the xbox has USB v1.1 which only has a full transfer speed of 1.5MBit/s.

games CAN NOT be played from an external hdd.

the only thing an external hdd can be used for is a BIG ASS memory card. it will need to be formated by the xbox because the xbox can not recognize the partion(s) (unless you are using an x3 w/ x3 bios)...which means you cant transfer data from your external hdd to your pc because the partions are foreign (once again unless yo have the x3 w/ x3 bios).

if you still want to connect your hdd to a xbox here is a tut:

Thanks for the info. Hmm, I was planning on using a controller USB port and a pen-drive to softmod an XBOX but will I be unable to if the formatting is different? What steps can I take to softmod with this set up? Or do I have to buy an AR?

Oh, and how can I run a game from the XBOX hard drive? Is there an option on Evox or something?

Sorry, these questions are probably answered in one tutorial or another, but the list is a bit daunting and finding exactly what I want is sometimes a bit troublesome.
