Lighted fans are very easy to find at EBAY and other sites that are sponsor this site. As far as Jewels that are already lit, that's a different story. I have seen many on EBAY, but not too many out there otherwise. Most people just use LED's or cathodes to light them.
If you go to EBAY and type XBOX in the search Criteria, then select systems, you will pick up a lot of stuff from that.
You may have to ship in the states to a family or friend, and then have them ship to you.
I'll keep my eye out though and see what I can find you. _________________ Good Deals: Death@Hand, funkydopenloven, StaticMind, Slamscaper, PorscheXboxter

Yes, 80mm fan will work fine.
I can't honestly say how bright the cathodes are as I have never seen them, but I envision them to be very bright and much easier than LED's...
what you have to consider with LED's is not only do you have to strategically place them, you have to wire each one. That's two wires for each LED, and in some instances you also have to solder resistors in place as well.
One of our sponsors sells some Xtreme Cathode Fans. Here is the link.
You will want to email them and ask them more info about connectivity.
As far as some of the EBAY sellers, I have seen kits where all you do is plug and go. I like that idea. You will pay more for kits though, but you always pay for convenience.
The link I supplied you for the cathode fans is great. The fans are only 5.99, to me that's a decent deal.
I believe the fans may just plug in, and no soldering is required. But, you should still check on the connectivity with someone who has already used one, or the company themselves. They will answer any questions you have. The Jewel Mod Kits on EBAY that I have ran across, and I have seen many Halo ones, look great. They seem very easy to install. No soldering. _________________ Good Deals: Death@Hand, funkydopenloven, StaticMind, Slamscaper, PorscheXboxter

Hey, I forgot to ask you how bad the storm ended up being?
Also, let me know what case mod you end up doing. And, what fan you end up snagging. I was thinking of doing a new fan, but how many people see the back of the xbox.
I am starting a mod site called themodgod soon. I am trying to make a platform/tray type of thing for the xbox to sit on top of. It will be made out of plexiglass and have cathodes going around it. It will just plug into the wall instead of having to open your box and plug in for power. Then, when you turn it on it makes your xbox look like it has neon lights the whole way around the bottom.
I am really interested in finding ways to help people mod their boxes without opening them. I think there is a decent market for that since so many people do not want to open their box. I know the possiblities are limited, so any ideas that people have would be greatly appreciated. I am lucky that I have the time and revenue to do some of these idiotic things...HA. I have already nuked a few controllers trying out some new things, but hey....that's how you learn. _________________ Good Deals: Death@Hand, funkydopenloven, StaticMind, Slamscaper, PorscheXboxter
