I have a softmodded UnleashX, xbox version 1.4 with a focus video chip and when I use a standard composite cable its fine but when I use a component cable I get a very green unleashx dashboard and the same for XBMC but when the Xbox logo is booting its fine and the colors are correct. I remember a youtube video that showed how to fix this problem inside unleashx or with a program but I saw that too long ago to remember anything useful. I have checked the TV, cables and used the site to determine what version xbox I have and I used a multi meter to check the pins 2 and 9 (from memory) and they are connected. I will check what dashboard version I have soon, I used SID v5.11 and a USB cable with game a HDD upgrade other than that I dont know how to fix - oh yeah the RGB plugs are in correct and the audio red/white are in correct, does anyone know the youtube video I said about? _________________ Xbox Halo Green Limited Edition v1.4

That's new information about the colour being OK at boot just the dash being green. That suggests the Component cable isn't faulty.
The Xbox/MS logo always loads in SD ie. 480i or 576i for PAL. So this is only happening when using what resolution for the dashes?
You could try disabling your HD settings, using the MS dash via UnleashX is the best way of doing that. Reboot and see if the colour issue remains.
But if you used one of the protected softmod options from SID you'll have to find out how to temporarily turn that protection off first as it usually returns the softmod to the previous settings, including the resolution, after reboot. I should know how to do that but with SID/AID I don't so I can't advise you on this.

I did a reinstall of UnleashX and it has about 6 options for how you want to set the display I chose standard HD (not virtual eeprom) and it fixed it and the 720p display is beautiful especially in coinops 7 so the greenness is fixed it was pritty simple to do as there is a install for UnleashX in one of the folders from the dashboard so my guess is you can swap from setting to setting as you please but its still a reinstall so I dont know if your settings are kept if they are in C: or E:, I think I was using the standard RGB why this did not work is beyond me as I was using RGB cables (component). _________________ Xbox Halo Green Limited Edition v1.4

Component isn't RGB it is slightly different processed version of it but why you had the green cast is still a bit of a mystery to me. Component on the Xbox supports everything from 480i - 1080i so why using a particular resolution caused a green cast I can't explain.
I always use the Standard SID/AID option simply because it leaves you with the choice of whether to use SD/ED/HD rather than, particularly with a protected (Virtual C+Eeprom), lock you into HD.
My bottom line solution was to to recommnd redoing the softmod - I would have suggested using HeXEn or Rocky5's Softmod 2016 instead of SID as they provide maximum protection but also include menu tools for swapping settings without any hassle.
Anyway glad to read it is all working now.
