Quick and Easy HDD Blinking LED for XBOX Case (v0.1)
Tutorial written by : wmz & stanz
- This tutorial is good if you dont want to cut into your IDE cable and HDD power cable!
- Alternatively you can cut into your IDE cable and HDD power cable then Solder where necessary! (check this tutorial)
- You can still easily install / remove the XBOX HDD with the following MOD!
(All of above available from Maplin, BQ, or wherever is cheapest)
Begin . . .
Solder Green / White Wire Directly onto HDD PCB . . .
Result . . .

is there a pic for where to soldier the green wire???
It looks very easy but is missing one screenshot.. Where exactly are you soldiering the green wire. I can see i have to soldier the white to the power of the HDD but where is the green soldiered to?

sorry i will post the other image now, the white is getting power from the hard drive so the green wire has to be soldered to the 39th pin on the underside of the hard drive where the ide cable plugs in
sorry bout that, i havent done it to my xbox but i have done it to a friends, and it is quite cool, pointless but cool

last time i was down your way i went to the falls festival and drove my celica GT4 down.. What a trip.. 3 Car loads of us.. It was 1999 new years *2000
We got to the festival and unloaded the 14 bottles of bourbon etc from the subwoofer casing.. hehe :0 they searched and seized everyones grog and i was one of the very few who had BYO..
Got some good memorys and bad though.. We only parked in the main street for like 1hr in Melbourne before going to the festival and another mates car got its windows smashed and stuff stolen..
Oh well... Ill get back down there..
Hope to meet tonnes of my mates from the internet one day..
We should organise a big gathering somewhere central.. (thats hard )

I'm showing my age here, but my two boys went to the Falls festival that year and had a great time.
Sounds like a good idea organizing a meeting somewhere central. I wonder how many people would be interested. Maybe should setup a survey.
Have you ever considered setting up a photo section where people post photos of themselves or something funny? I've seen it on some other forums and it's very entertaining.
