Im looking for books and such to give myself a start on XBOX software/homebrew development. I have a fairly good understanding of software, written a few no cd fixed exes for PC games, but am at a loss with the XBOX. I have 7 of them so I dont care if I fry a couple messing around. If anyone knows of where I could find books of this nature please let me know. Thanks

Well really there are no books, tutorials or anything and it's why i started adding snippets of code to our XDK forums here on HQ to try and get some members involved..
Anyway, if you're still around on the HQ feel free to contact me via pm or email and hopefully we can build some cool apps.. It's been years since i've compiled my own xbox 1 app but i think it would be fun again.

Did anyone ever actually make a full indie game on the XDK? No remakes either, I mean a high end original indie game. _________________

I dont think so, Ive seen a couple that were pretty buggy and looked like they had been written for a 16bit console, for me its more about the fun doing it, I get a certain satisfaction from getting one over on the big guy. I think if M$ wasnt so proprietary and greedy I wouldnt find it as fun. Ive been trying to rewrite the Ultimate Boot Disc 4 with newer XBMC and dashboards but so far have only had limited success
Ive got the newer versions of UnleashX and Evox working when I do dash update with it but when I try to install the XBMC Babylon I added to it as an app it always stops around halfway and says it failed to copy a file never seems to be the same file either so Im kinda confused as to whats causing this issue
