great heres another problem the hard drive dosnt fit the plugs what can i do about that or is there anything i can do ?

Edit :
Is it a SATA HDD you have got ?
You can buy an IDE to SATA converter for a couple of quid.

yeah its a sata my brother might have the cables i need iuuno ill have to wait till he gets up to find out
