I recently installed unleash X and put in a 200Gb HDD in my box. Everything that I can tell works great, except when I try to load Halo2, either from the disk or copied to the drive. The disc works in my other box with Unleash X on it and a stock HDD. It freezes after you hit start (right as it tries to load the list of profiles to select from). I even went as far as totally deleting Halo2 from the UData and Tdata folders, thinking it was a corrupt profile that was causing the problem. It still will not Load past the start screen. Has anyone ever had a similar problem? Even with another game? I'm not sure at this point what could be causing the probem, Unleash X, or the Box itself. (splinter cell appears to load and work just fine)

What you'll need to do is clear the contents of the E:\Cache folder.
Browse to it using FTP or whatever file management program you use on the Xbox (XBMC etc) and just delete all the files in that folder, but leave the folder intact. After that, you should find that your game runs without a problem.

Clearing the cache seems to be the fixall for most problems like that. Shouldnt it clear on its pown though? _________________

Think of the Cache as similar to the temporay internet folder on PC's. It just fills up with rubbish and bits and bobs and just needs clearing every now and again.

That is a bit extreme!
If ever a game doesn't fire up properly, or stops during play, the first point of call should always be the cache folder. 9 times out of 10, thats what it'll be.

sometimes clearing cache wont always work after a HDD upgrade. You should then take the following steps..
Backup the E drive (to either a folder on the xbox F or G drive or ftp to the pc.
Format the E drive.
Copy back all but the CACHE folder.
Lock your HDD and boot the M$ dash. The cache folder and files will be recreated upon booting the dash

Yes, they are the type of files you will find in there. Deleting them will not cause any damage at all and may rectify your problem.
