Ok.. When i put in the AID (V 4.30) to flash the bios right after i put in my chip, it said no bios found on the disk. So still have the cd on my computer and i went back and just extracted the x3 3294v1.6+ I think it was, and put it on a disk and that didn't work.. So i burned it as an iso, then left it zipped, then unzipped it. None of the above worked.. What do i need to do to make a bios cd that will work?

Id also like to add the question of how to make a dummy file.. I figured out i messed up by not renameing the bios bios.bin, but now i need to know how to make the dummy file and none of the tutorials on the interned exist anymore it seems. I don't remember it being this hard when i first installed my x2.6 back in 05 lol.

Just find a bunch of files (mp3,s or a movie) and put them on the disk to eat up spare space and put the bios in with it.

Or you can use this: http://www.xbox-hq.com/html/download-file-794.html

Ok i figured it out. I thought all it had to be was something random, but the instructions allways said to learn how to make a dummy file so i figured it had to be something specific. But now i am haveing a different problem all together..

I was trying to ftp between my friends xbox and mine and couldn't get it to work. We hooked the xboxes up with a crossoer cable, then with a regular link cable when that didn't work, and we checked to make sure out ip's were different, and then we opened xboxftp on both consoles, and preassed start and connect to server and added the other xboxes ip. When it didn't work the first time we entered the ip of that xbox to the other xbox, and that didn't work so we swapped cables, and still it will never so much as attempt to connect to the other xbox as the server. Any suggestions?

You can try this way http://www.xbox-hq.com/html/xbox-tutorials-64.html or you can put XBMC on one of the xboxs and it should auto detect the other xbox.

And something else.. all the tutorials say that you can use a crossover cable instead of useing a hub or router, but my crossover cable will not fit in my computer. So i am assumeing i do need a hub?

If your PC has an Ethernet port you can use a cross over and if it don't you cant hook a hub to it any way since a network cable and a crossover cable are the same size and damn near the same cable except for the wires being switched.
