still no go with aid but i did this i loaded the dvd2xbox app with the aid dvd in and i can browse the dvd copy anything i want from it so it must be the way that aid boots that is creating the boot problem i looked at the default.xbe and other startup files on the dvd but i'm not sure what i am looking at but in looking at other install dvds i've made like slayers the files are almost the same line for line i just dont know but now that i got it running some what i can keep working on getting the apps all running i would like it to boot to xbmc but i havent figured that out without doing a full install with xbmc as the primary dash which i've tried and becouse of what ever is corupting the apps at install it will not work i could try it and thenboot to the xcuter config live menu and ftp the working xbmc to it that i downloaded ?? but then all this time getting it to this point would be shot if it failed unless i make a backup of the hd 1st

Set the X3 chip to boot it as default and all you got to do is point the quick launch at the XBMC XBE.

well i'm learning here guess i bout got where i want for now i got so i can boot it 3 ways and got the important apps running i can change the conf live and it will now boot to the ms dash or the mod dash or use the trigger and boot it to xbmc on any reboot or startup

i wish i could have got aid to install as i think it would have been more to my liking but guess thats the way the box swings ha ha at lest i can now do for the most part anyway what i want to with it i really like xbmc been playing with the scrips in it to add some stuff

All Good man im happy to help but if i was you i would try a few other brands of DVD-r and reburn AID, its 100 times better then slayers once you figure out how to burn it.

ok got a new ? when i load xbmc and use the file browser in it ther is 2 collums 1 left 1 right in each collum it shows 2 of evry thing ? 2 c folders 2 e and so on in both collums ?
? # 2 in dvd2xbox which is the best way to copy a game over to the box iso mode or normal ? i have been using normal mode and the 1 game i copied sofar plays great with 1 fault i can not exit the game ? no exit option in the menu only play a save or start new game ? i have power down and restart to get out ?

well guess you waz right about the media i just started tring every kind i had laying around and i used a hp dvd+rw that came with a dvd burner a long time ago and never used suker booted rite up and aid 4.3 1 click install is running as i type this so guess i get to try out aid afterall ha ha
good thing i a lot a hd space on the pc i been making backups of the hd for each setup i got working

Good to see you got it to go , its all about what kind of disk your drive likes.
To back out of a game hit L trigger R trigger back and black to reboot, as for seeing 2 C's and so on just high lite the second C,D,E, and what ever you got doubles of and hit the white button then select remove source.
I don't know why but it builds a mirror of each drive and you just got to remove the copy's.
