hello all i seem to have made a mistake i got the xecuter 3ce installed and working fine then i got to messing with it and changed the video mode in advanced settings to g patched i think anyway when it boots the screen is flipping so bad i cant make out what is on it to reverse what i done i can boot it in safe mode and flash to it but still same after how can i return the modchip to the state it was when i took it out of the box so i can redo it without that mistake

What dash are you using?
And did you by any chance switch the settings from NTSC to PAL?
well i got it reflashed and got the screen back the dash i am using is or should i say flash is x3.3294.bin its the only 1 i could get to work others would just keep cycleing power after flash ? anyway i got a new problem i turned of the config live option so it would boot the the dasd on the drive now i can not find a way to turn it back on
this is the current state of the box
80gb hd with factory bios i used a soft mod on original box hd and chimp to clone the factory hd then i unlinstalled the soft mod from the new hd works fine boots to ms dash
xcuter 3ce flashed with the bin above thats it for now when i 1st flashed it the config live menu would come up untill i turned it off
would like to get back to that state and mabe someone could sugest the setup i should use with this critter i have read so mush and and have just mannaged to get lost

When you boot up the xbox hold down the white button to get to your X3 config screen.

thanks white buton worked now to figure out what i want to run ?
i have slayers 2.7 and am downloading aid 4.3 as i type this i have tried a few mods but not decided on which yet problem is the apps dont seem to work with the mods i tried i had 1 that did but i tried so many i have forgot which one it was any sugestions ? i think evox was the last 1 i tried when i try a app like dvd2xbox the evox logo pops up and thats where it stays never loads nor any other apps eather

With the AID disk i would do a fresh start with the one click install and use XBMC as a dash.
Once you have that going you can add any of the Apps from the AID disk and i wold add dvdx 2.0, dvd dongle free, dvd2xbox and what ever you think you eill use.
I think you will find XBMC will keep you playing around for hours with all the features.

well i have about got ready to get the hammer out (dont get nad get a bigger hammer) i have tried aid every way i can think of and evry time it will boot the dvd up to the logo and then just flash the install dash and then just reboot and do it again i can put slayer 2.7 dvd in (same media and burner dvddcriptor ) it will boot and i can run the install any option on the disk this box is a ver 1.4, samsung dvd player and ofcourse xcuter3ce modchip with the bin posted earler
i have tried to use just the aid iso untuched just burned to disk ver 4.2,.4.3
tried to update aid iso with updater and burn saved iso is there a certian way i should use the aid iso updater and select certian files (rar) to add ?
all i do is unzip the aid4.rar file i use winrar it makes the folder i then have tried the above with what is the the new folder
current setup
xcuter3ce
80gb hd now formatted with the slayers 2.7 booted to the the dash (blackbolt_s)
sure would like to get aid on it instead as im not having any luck getting the apps to run with slayers eather tried the xbmc install option it installs and then boots and goes blank

If you can get in to the file manager or FTP it you might need to clear out the E/cache folder.

well there is nothing on the drive in any folder exctpt c i formated the drive with the tool in the 3294.bin then ftp a clean c folder with my original ms dash and folders all other's are empty it will boot to the ms dash fine this is something i noticed when it is trying to load up the aid dvd and keeps rebooting if i press the eject button the install menu for aid will come up on the screen for about 5 or 10 sec then go blank again guess i'm gona be stuck with slayers which i guess is ok if i can get the apps to load
i have even trid to install with the drive clean formatted and empty unlocked and locked same thing keeps rebooting to logo and install menu over and over i supect its something to do with the aid install disk something about it my box just dont like it just by the fact it will boot slayers disk fine
the drive is a seagate 380013a

i thought this was gona be a slam dunk with a modchip ha ha

the xcuter3ce is flashed with x3.3294.bin bank 1234 on on off off i can attach a copy of the epprom if that will help the original ms dash is the 5960 i have the chip set to boot dvd and to the installed dash which i change to which ever dash i am tring at the time its very easy in the chip menu i have also tried to set the dash to boot dvd too

the media is phillips 1-16x dvd-r i had a 100 pack and its about 1/2 gone same media as the slayer disk is
i tried adding the 100 mb dummy file to aid then it will not even try to load even gave it about 15 min to to try
right now i got it booted with slayers and i got xbmc loaded up and running i used the link in your post to update it so it will now run but dvdt2xbox and the other apps that the slayers disk installed will not load i get the evo logo and it stops with the logo displayed

OK man since you got a dash going clear the cache folder and see if it will boot App's.

cleared the cache only cache folder i found is in the e\ folder still nothing i can make apps run by overwriting the folder they are in i can expand the archive like dvd2xbox i downloaded it and extract it to pc and ftp that overtop what is installed in the box then it works i got xbmc and dvd2xbox and linksboks running sofar doing that but this thing refuses to load the aid dvd ? going to try to disable auto start dvd and use the browser in xbmc to start dvd default.xbe cant hurt might work haha
