Okay well included with this post is a picture of a finely engineered top of the line 360!!!! After many red rings of death with the premium xbox 360 I finally took my old premium back to best buy and upgraded to a Elite. It is so much sweeter and cooler running. Not only does it have a 120gb hard drive on it but it has run without a hitch each and everytime I have played it. The cooling system on this machine is a hell of alot better then the premium system even without my intercooler attached. Oh and you gotta love the picture quality of my digital camera I took this photo with!!!! It is a samsung 7.2 megapixel digital camera and it simply rocks. So just call me technologically satisfied!!!!!

I like my premium personally, had it for about a year and 2 months now. Had an RROD on me few weeks ago, but i got that fixed.
I plan on putting water cooling in it, makes the CPU and GPU tempertures go from 152 F to 101 F. _________________

Yeah but with the Elite you dont need to go blow more cash on cooling an xbox that should work right anyway.

well its simple math pay just a little more for the one that works or get the one that needs 10 fans water cooling and dry ice on the mobo, by the time your done you payed for a new car. LOL

Oh and in case you guys are wondering what that white thing on the right of the 360 is....that is a belkin wireless gaming adapter and it is major sweet you just plug it into any gaming system and push the button and it automatically connects to your router. Saves a bunch of time and headaches and goes for 59.95 at wal-mart!!!! That is 40 bucks cheaper then the microsoft gaming adapter!!!! Just thought you guys would like to know in case you are in the market for one. Oh and the connection speed is amazing! I experience no lag at all when it is connected to xbox live. That is if my wife does not have fifty webpages opened!

The new elites dont really help a whole bunch either. Anyways, you dont have to put in water cooling, it works fine with air cooling, i just want to make mine that much cooler.
Heres the new elites:
Heatsink
65nm CPU
Benq drive.
Now the new heatsink doesn't help, because it moves the heat up to the front of the xbox, where there are no fans. Then it makes the front of the xbox really hot, because none of the heat is getting out. If they put it in the back it would have made a difference.
The 65nm CPU is good, i have no problems with it, makes it run cooler.
I personally dont like benq drives, i like my samsung, thats just me though. _________________

If hes getting cooler temps right out the box then that just shows that the hot air must be getting out, and if it keep me from getting the red ring i dont care if the drive is made by turd drives inc.
all in all less Elites are getting sent back then the bad joke thay call premium.
Its all a matter of do you want to buy an xbox or do you want to buy an xbox and mail it all over the place and wait even longer to play it.

I just got back from shopping with the wife and I bought the expansion pack for oblivion and call of duty 4. I also reserved assassins creed which I really hope lives up to all the hype. Also on a sidenote I gotta admit having this avatar next to my name is really neat!!! Thanks again Wes!

I have to agree with rebelcharm and wes on this one the elite is a much better version than the premium. I think the new heatsink does help darth even though its up in front since it still disperses heat more than if it wasn't there at all. They had to have done better cause I've seen my buddy run his elite for almostt two days straigtht, we took a few breaks and let it cool down a little, and no RROD yet I've seen people buy a brand new Premium or Basic pack 360 and within hours it had the RROD.
