Hey err'body i have a xenium ice that i had modded into a 1.2 like 2yrs ago and it worked fine until i fragged the thing. I have read over some of the updated tutorials about modding this chip into a v1.6. Its not really clear on how to get it hooked up besides adding a wire to the #4 pin on the pin header. Well i lost the pin header a while back and it seems like no other way around this but to add the wire for the D0 connection. Im no newbie, but in this instance i might be. Can anybody clarify a better way, or how can i get a hold of a pin header. Also is the pin header 6pin or 12pin header connector.

Well, it ends up an 11 pin header. pin #4 must be removed. Keep in mind on the 1.6 board you must do a "rebuild" for the lpc. You can find very specific directions at http://teamxodus.com/
You will also need the correct bios for the 1.6 to be flashed onto the xenium. I recommend d/loading AID as well.

Well i appreciate the quick response.....ive been to TeamXodus to view the LPC rebuild and thats why i had such specific questions about the pin header. I havent used this chip in such a long time that i really dont remember what bios is on the chip but if i am correct its Xenium 2.0 bios. If not i already downloaded it to my pc to swap to the chip itself. Also i have the Slayer Auto Installer

The Xenium 2.0 bios is pre-installed. That will get you up and going with ftp and such. Your going to need a hacked bios to go further. If memory serves me, should be the m8plus for the 1.6 board. I have found it quick and easy just to ftp it into the Xenium. You can go right through Internet Explorer browser. Xenium has a super easy menu system through ftp right out of the box (or static bag as it were). Took me roughly 20 minutes the last time I installed, flashed and had AID running. If your still confused, or need further assistance, just let me know and Ill do my best to help. You seem to be reading up a bit, so keep going. First off, have you exhausted all options on fixing your fragged box...I have found a bunch of them can easily be repaired if the correct steps are taken...also, if you dont use an x2 bios for the 1.6 as enigma pointed out the correct one is m8plus16...add lba48 if you have a large hard drive...the lpc rebuild is a pain on the 1.6 but is forgiving....enigma, have you thought about buying an xbox off ebay that has a chip but busted power supply...95% of the time its a quick 5 min fix...think about it. _________________ Xbox V1.6

well ive tried to exhault the old xbox that was fragging from the last install with the Xenium Ice chip. So now im back to the v1.6 board again. Ive been searching for replacement parts for this chip and cannot seem to find any! Maybe i should just go ahead and get another solderless chip that might coinside with the v1.6 , so ive been trying to explore the options. If anyone may know of somewhere i can get the replacement parts would help a whole bunch.
