Terribly sorry about my other post.
Just picked up a used Xbox with a X-chip in it, Slayer 2.6 and Evo M8 (I think) Bios on it. I'm not sure what version of xbox it is, I just know it isn't the 1.6. I'm planning on putting AID 3.04 on tonight when I get home, is the Evo M8 the best bios or is there a better one that I should flash it too.
Thanks and again my apologies

If you have an X-chip, I would recomend flashing it with the X2 5035 bios. This bios allows heavy customization all with a configuration file kept on the xbox. it can be easily edited and any if you want to change something you don't have to reflash each time.
As for AID3.04, its not an application, it is a disk that allows you to install applications easily. I really suggest it since it is actually updated on a regular basis, where Slayers is not. _________________

I have the dvd finished and ready to put AID on and get rid of Slayer, looks like the last time Slayer was updated was in 04 if I'm not mistaken. Anyways with this Bios will it allow the full 250megs of HD on the F/ partition?

No, you don't want your F that large. It will set C to about 500MB, E: to about 4GB, X, Y, and Z to 750MB each, F to ~130GB, and the rest to your G. _________________
I got AID 3.04 on and so far it's fantastic. It's showing the f/ drive as 129 gigs and the g drive as 0. How do I get the remainder of the 250gigs (minus the other drives of course) to be available to the g drive?
I haven't updated the Bios yet, a little nervous about doing that just yet and haven't quite figured out how to do it just yet either, I did put 5035 on the c drive though. Is there a way to do it with the M8 bios, Xbox V1.0 and x-chip?
Thanks for all your help btw, I appreciate it.

Check your x-chip do you see any blue wires coming from it going to usb port. _________________
Do I need to reflash to get the full 250gigs? If I pushed I could get the programmer as I bought it off of a friend of a friend.

depends on the settnigs int he current bios. You may just have to enable the g drive in your settings. If that doesn't work, then yes, you'll have to flash.
You may be able to flash through Evox, though Blazer is the best one to comment on that
or better yet, use the "flash bios" option in the AID tool menu _________________
I tried flashing through the tools menu but it just sat on erasing. How do I enable the 'g' drive if I could?

yeah thats why you need the usb adapter for the x-chip, and the x-control software to reflash the x-chip. Theres no way around it, you can try formatting g with aid to see if it will show to see if you have LBA enabled bios. _________________

If it sat there on erasing the evox.ini file doesn't recognize your flashrom.
To enable it depends on the dashboard. If your using UnleashX(which is what I recommend) then go into settings then ssytem then enable g _________________
