Is there a way to save actual xbox games (proper ones you've brought)to the hdd, My setup is xecuter 3 chip, 160gig hdd and xbmc running.

Cheers for any info, Dan.

(I've already posted this but I think it was in the wrong section)

I know in UnleashX under the menu Settings>Misc there is an option to 'Copy Game Disc' Put the game in the tray and press the button. Easy. Not sure how to do it in other dashboards. I believe there are applications that do it as well, like dvd2xbox.

well first off you should not be downloading games from torrents that called piracy and we dont condone that here. But if you want to back up GAMES THAT YOU OWN you should try dvd2xbox

Exactly. Downloading retail games through torrents etc. is piracy, and neither xbox-hq.com or its members support or condone these activities.

As for backing up games that you own (not renting or borrowing etc.), try using dvd2xbox as dbeal suggested.

You have a monster Hard Drive, so your best bet would definitely be DVD2Xbox which is available via AID 3.XX (all AID versions have it).

And to clarify, IF YOU OWN THE GAME, and want to take the extra time, you are allowed to DOWNLOAD a copy via torrent, newsgroup, or P2P. BUT THIS IS ONLY IF YOU LEGALLY OWN THE GAME, HAVE THE CASES AND MANUALS. Like DBeal said, we DO NOT condone piracy, and I only support torrent as a LAST resort.

Unfortunately, due to the nature of obtaining ISO's via Torrent, we can not help you with the extraction, or transfer of said torrent to xbox for use. Sorry, that's just how it goes.

if you had the game why would you even need to waste the time to download it. this screams piracy it would only take maybe 15 minutes or so to take the game off of your xbox and make a iso using qwix or any other iso making program.

No router, no crossover cable, extremely broke, disc scratched and destryoed beyond reading at all, those are major reasons for using the web. I'm not saying it "sounds right" but if I had no money, no router/network of any kind, and didn't have the money for a hard drive upgrade, this is the route I'd take.

I've only downloaded games I actually own because I was'nt sure how to put them on to my xbox, I only asked as a game takes a long time to download with my slow connection. I used AID3 to install xbmc but I can't seem to find dvd2xbox on there, if I got a copy of dvd2xbox where abouts should I save it to on my xbox hdd? I've got an ftp connection.

All sorted, for some reason the copy I downloaded had no .xbe file. I'm really impressed by how quickly it transfers the games, I was expecting it to take forever.
