Hey,

Here is my situation: About a year ago a friend modded my xbox and he put an old 20gb hdd in my Xbox. I was a total noob to the scene and he was the guy to help me with problems. Now he moved away and is unreachable. Now my 20 gb HDD broke down but my original 8 gb also has EvoX on it and works. However I could get my hands on a free Maxtor 40 gb HDD and I want to install it. So I swapped the HDD's and downloaded AID and burnt the ISO. However, it doesn't boot me into the menu when the new hdd is in my xbox. It will boot on my 8 gb hdd. Jumper is set to master.

I have a v1.0 Xbox with a modchip. I think the modchip is a Xecuter 2, because that is what my xbox used to display on startup. Also I have these 3 switches, Modchip enable/disable, flashprotection and memory banks. Bioschecker won't recognize my bios.

What do I do wrong and what would be the next step to do?

All help will be greatly appreciated!

I tried my PC's HDD and it boots flawlessly.

/me Runs to the store to get a 300 GB

btw.. if you followed that tutorial you obviously had a SOFTMOD and not a MODCHIP..

Just so you understand.. They are totally different..
Softmodding and upgrading hdd's is much more difficult with a SOFTMOD then with a modchip..

AID always helps either way!
