I have just bought an Xbox with an Executer 2 chip and a 200gb HD. When I turn it on (and press eject quickly after power) it boots to a Xenium screen from where I can launch various dashboards (Avalaunch, Evolution X, THC). All I eant it to do is boot straight to XBMC on power up.
I have done some searching but have ended up with more questions than answers. All the advice I have found assumes you start with something like Evox as your dash. Nobody even mentions this Xenium thing I'm getting.
I am very new to all this and the last thing I want to do is stop my Xbox working at all but on the other hand I will be using it 90% of the time for XMBC so I really need to get it to boot to XBMC when I turn it on rather than having to launch Avalaunch, Got to Apps, Scroll down to XBMC which is what I currently have to do.
Any help would be most appreciated.

hello Hambo, well all you need to do is install xselect which is found in AID and put it in the drive with your dashes. Once you do that, then just reboot xbox w/o a disk in and a screen should pop up sayin settings not configured. Just press up on the d-pad and choose setup dashes. Once that is done searching, then just make XBMC your default dash and the others as just secondaries. I hope that helped. _________________ Moddingbandit

Thanks for the reply ModdingBandit - sounds like just the job!
Unfortunately I don't have a burner but I've downloaded AID3 and its a collection of Winrar files.
I know how to FTP. I want to install XSelect on the drive with my dashes as you described. What do I do with the Rar files? Extract them, make an ISO then use something like Craxtion? At that point where will I find XSelect?
Also like the sound of the collection of XBMC scripts (not that I'm sure how to use them yet!).What else do you think is worth installing from AID3?

well you can always manually get xselect out but I dont know where to put it, that's why I would just use AID 3 on a dvd. Well you only need to extract one of them, since they are all a collection. Just extract one, and I think one of them lower to the bottom has the iso already made. you can use the iso updater to add add-on packs. I personally use dvd decrypter but Idk about craxtion. Well there is mainly just dashboards and a few extras on AID3 just to help you install everything easily. You could d/l XED and put other additional stuff on it. Hope that helps a little bit. _________________ Moddingbandit
