Hey there,
I have a huge problem! I have a box with XECUTER2, 1.8.3921 (or lower), a 100gb HD and a chip of some sort...(don't ask me what) ((evolution x...))
To play games, I connect the box with my computer and transfer the unziped .iso-file so that I get a directory on F:/Games. I have done this with Max Payne 2, KoToR, Prince of Persia and UEFA EURO 2004.
The only game that works fine is PoP. All other games freezes in the load up or early in the game. EURO 2004 freezes while saying "Loading...", Max Payne 2 lets me watch the intro and choose from the menu, then it freezes, KoToR freezes early in the game (in game). I also had XIII some time ago and it froze while showing the EVOLUTION X-logo.
WHAT IS WRONG?! I tried to put "IGR" to "NO" (on all three places) in the settings, but it still doesn't work!
When I listen to the xbox it sounds like the "buzzing" is almost stopping when the game freezes!
Help me plz! plz! plz!

Thanks for all the info, that helps. EvolutionX would be your dashboard, not the chip. But, that's okay. We still can probably help you. The IGR was a good try too!
The fact that you can get one game to work, and a few others that don't tell me one of a couple things. One maybe the files are bad, or two you may need some type of patch for these games.
I am still pretty new to this, but that would be where I started. I am sure some other members will have ideas for you too. Are you able to take a game disk and back it up to your HD and play with no problems? Try renting a game and seeing if it will back up correctly. I have never xferred an ISO to my HD so I am unsure of how that works. I have only FTP'd roms and apps.
After all is said and done with, you may even want to consider updating your bios, and even opening up your system to see what chip you have. Knowing what chip you have can possibly help you with future troubleshooting.

It seems kinda strange that ALL of the files are bad...so maybe a patch then! How do I get that?
FTP:ing games is alot easier than burning to CDs, or whatever you do . I get really angry though, it works perfectly for all of my friends...hm...
I'll try to back up a game disc to my hard drive! But how do I update my bios?

Yeah, I know how it feels when something works for others and not yourself. As we speak, I am wrestling with MXM trying to get it to work on my machine. As far as updating your bios, you are better off reading some tutorials first.
We have all kinds here that tell you how, but you should know what chip you have first. From what I understand, I have seen certain bios' not work with certain chips.
In the interim though, I am sure someone will get you info on patching the game, or maybe even some other ideas. Like I have said, I have always just backed up the game from Disk to HD and have never had to patch a game yet. Then again, my machine is only two months old so I probably have all the latest stuff and haven't had any need for patches yet. Maybe even go to our gaming section and make a post of the problem you are having.
In the future, if you enjoy the site you should make a $10 donation and become a VIP member. You will have access to all kinds of apps, roms, and the new VIP Ticket function.
The ticket function is very nice. When you have a problem like the one you are having you just submit it as a ticket. Then all the Admins will privately reply to you in a very timely manner. btw, I just backed up MIDTOWN MDNESS 3 from a cd and it worked perfect, so maybe it IS the files after all...well, well...I'll try to figure that out and I really hope you continue to be such a nice person and try to help me by finding ways that will make this stupid machine work!

I just BOUGHT "Uefa Euro 2004" to try if it worked to play it from the original disc, but NONO...same problem AGAIN. The XBOX freezes on "Loading...". I just talked to my friend and he said he had the exact same problem with this game. BUT it works perfectly well on my OTHER friends box's....
so my dear friends, in the wait of me paying the $10 to this site...plz plz plz help me! I just neeeeeed to know what the heck the problem is with my damn box!

There really are no answers to give realmccloy.
They must be doing something wrong.
I dont seem to have any problems at all backing up or playing games on my xbox and either do any of my friends and they are NO GENUISES.. I have a v1.1 and a 49lf020 modchip with a hella old bios.. My friends have many different sorts of xboxes and dont have probs either.. Who did you install..?
Im sure these guys are downloading them off the internet and dont realise that you still need patches, fixes etc before they will work.
Like the post up above mentions.. He backed it up again and it worked..
IF YOU ARE HAVING PROBLEMS LIKE THIS WITH YOUR GAMES THEN DO THIS:
1. Backup the game again from the original.
2. Turn off all 'IGR' (IN GAME RESET) in evox.
3. UPgrade your dashboard to a newer version of evox. 3921 is best for IGR..
just keep trying guys.. If we find patches for games they are added to the VIP DOWNLOADS section in the PATCHES category..

Yes, the advice on backing up games from the original is very good.
It is so hard to give support on games that were downloaded via the internet. You cannot attest to the reliability of the file.

Sounds like a dvd drive prob and not a chip prob if u bought the orriginal and it did the same thing... what kind of drive do u have ? and are u a power gamer? do u watch alot of dvds on ur box? cause i know with the stupid thomson drive it gets really weak and start to have trouble reading dvds.. speicialy if there duel layer......gives us more info on ur box.......
