THEY SHIPPED MY CLEAR XBOX COVER IN A BOX "PADDED" WITH 3 GENEROUS PIECES OF WADDED UP NEWSPAPER. NO WONDER THE DAMN THING HAS A BIG ASS CRACK IN IT.
AFTER 5 DAYS OF THEM IGNORING MY POSTS ON THEIR "SUPPORT" PAGE, I FINALLY HAD TO CALL THEM LONG-DISTANCE AT MY EXPENSE (NO TOLL-FREE NUMBER) TO EVEN GET ANY KIND TO RESPONSE. THE ABRUPT STATEMENT "SHIP IT BACK", WITH NO HINT OF REMORSE NOR REGRET, IS NOT VERY SOOTHING.
I PAID EXTRA TO GET ONE OF THE FIRST ONES. WHAT DID I GET FOR MY MONEY? I HAVE TO SEND IT BACK AT MY COST AND THEN WAIT FOR THEM TO SEND ME A REPLACEMENT!
FOLKS, HERE'S TWO FREE CUSTOMER SERVICE TIPS:
1) DON'T SCREW UP!
2) IF YOU SCREW UP, YOU DO WHATEVER IT TAKES TO MAKE THE SITUATION RIGHT IN A TIMELY FASHION. _________________ The World's Most Awesome Xbox 360 Room

Sounds like they didn't even go slightly out of their way to create a satisfied customer. Unfortunately, I see that so much these days. I'll make sure to avoid using them. Even though I am sure others are satisfied with their product, I'll chalk them up to lucky...not taken care of.
It's amazing what people do to get your money and how little they do in return once you fork it over.
I have been negotiating with my local mall for a small cart/kiosk type of area to set up a modding stand. I figured I would offer skins, case modding and chipping on the spot. Meanwhile, there are at least seven to ten empty carts that are just holding mall brochures right now. Mind you this is an extremely busy mall. I was originally surprised to see all the cart vacancies. Well, I gave them my projections and a leasing agent called me and informed me that for the holiday season (Nov, Dec) I would cost me $6,000 per month for the little 6X3 Cart!! Naturally, I declined. Just yesterday I was at the mall and saw a new cart with several tv's and video game controllers connected to them. A young gentleman was schlepping these controllers that have thirty or so NES, Atari, and other classic console games built right in. After I established a rapport with him I asked if he was going to be there over the holidays and told him I don't see how some of these cart vendors can afford $6K per month. That's when he told me he was only being chaged $1200 per month for the same cart!! Man, was I jacked off!
I'm calling the agent back, but this time with a ton of ammo!!

UPDATE:
AFTER 11 FRIGGIN' DAYS, I finally heard from customps2.com's Customer Support!
I finally made it to the UPS Store yesterday. We'll see how long it takes to get it back! _________________ The World's Most Awesome Xbox 360 Room

BAD LUCK FOLLOWS ME EVERYWHERE!
I bought from of the EL wire light kits from customxbox.net. I couldn't figure how in the world to hook it up. I sent them an email and in less than 24 hours I had a response. They forgot to include a Y adapter in my order. They're going to send me one.
That's how you take care of customers!
It's kind of a cool light kit (I just can't run the light kit and the HDD at the same time (yet)! The control box for it is a little too large to fit comfortably in the Xbox, so I removed 4 screws and removed the bottom half of the control box. Now it fits snugly behind the DVD drive. _________________ The World's Most Awesome Xbox 360 Room

Yup, I know exactly what you mean. I get my Y-Adapers at radio shack for 5.99
They used to be $2.99 and they had tons, then I started really buying them up then all of a sudden they raised the price on me...buggers.
I always keep a few on hand because I hate cutting into other power sources. For customxbox.net's jewel rings I cut into the HD's power molex connector and have never ran into any problems. I just ground to a screw on the mobo for the other wire.
Now, I found a new supplier that has the Jewel rings, albeit slightly different than customxbox's, but the are only $19.99 instead of 27.99!!
Now, I usually buy several items at a time so customxbox just sent me a wholesale pricelist. I still can't beat the $19.99 price though. Also, the one for $19.99 already has a splitter attached.
