Ok, I am not a modding expert by anyones standards, softmodded my box and am using EvoX, now i notice i dont have support for LBA48. I have a much bigger HD i am intending on using but I dont understand about flashing bios, and which one would enable me to use my HD.
I do not have a modchip but in EvoX i see the option "Flash Bios" is it possible for me to just flash my origonal xbox, and if so, which bios would enable LBA48 on a 1.6b xbox?
Thanks for any help!

I think the one you'll be looking for is M8plus_16 with the LBA48 hack for larger than 137g drives. I know you can use larger HDs with softmodded boxes so someone will chime in with the rest of the info you need. _________________ [XBOX v1.6b / Xecuter 3 CE / Western Digital Caviar SE 300GB HD / ATA166 IDE Cable / XCM Cystal Clear Case / Red Firework LED 80mm Fan / 12v Fan Mod / UnleashX Default Dash]

no u cant flash the bios of the xbox ,
if you have the large harddrive already softmodded all you need to do is ftp the new bios you want to use in place of the old bios ,
you will need bios thats bootable from media not regular bios ,
and it goes somewhere on the harddrive but i dont know where, never mesed with softmods ,
and yeah m8_plus16 bios will work , but u got to check that it has the lba patch and is bootable from media _________________ Xbox v1.0/1.1/1.5/1.6a

I've softmodded 3 Xboxes (using ltools 1.7.5 007AUF) and everytime I found the bios on E:\ in a folder called "BiosLD" or something. Boot From Media bioses are the only kind of bioses you can use with softmods. Don't ask me why, that's just the way it is. _________________ [XBOX v1.6b / Xecuter 3 CE / Western Digital Caviar SE 300GB HD / ATA166 IDE Cable / XCM Cystal Clear Case / Red Firework LED 80mm Fan / 12v Fan Mod / UnleashX Default Dash]

The box i modded i used Softmod Installer Delux, and i found in the C:/SID/ Folder a file called bios.xbe
Are bios always in .bin format or could this be it as well?
Edit: This is also the only "Bios" file i found.
