I have been doing some research about modding your xbox with a mod chip and have a few questions. First after I install the chip do i have to download a program like evo x or does the chip (the one i plan on using is xenium ice) have a new dashboard all ready installed on it? Another question I have is that i am not very good with electronics and was wondering if i buy the solderless option is it very hard to do the install? Thanks for your help.

Hey keehnel1414,
The xenium spice is a good solderless chip, and very easy to install. It most likely won't come with a hacked bios on it, you have to download it yourself and flash it on the chip. I suggest downloading auto installer deluxe (aid 3.0). It has all types of useful tools, like the evox dash you've been reading about. Hope this helps, and read up on the bios flashing process, and make sure you know what your doing before you even attempt. Happy modding _________________

also check your version, the SP.Ice kit is only needed for v1.6/1.6b, anything else the Ice kit (w/adaptor) is only needed...it might save you a few bucks...
