Something strange seems to be going on, I have softmodded my XBOX and installed XBMC, I thought everything was working fine, ie backup games work fine, I can play almost any video format etc etc However I just tried to watch an Orginal DVD and my XBOX keeps freezing up! (won't load) I have tried other orginal DVDs and some copied and the same problem arrises!
Anybody know what I have done wrong or not done?
(I have an offcial DVD remote installed and my machine is a crystal PAL model)

Recent changes to the dvd codecs to suppot dvd menus are still buggy. They should smooth out with future updates, try updating to the most up to date build, and see if your problems persist. _________________

Maybe install DVDx onto your xbox and use it to play dvd's..
Like impiz mentions they are still working on the implementation and im sure it would have bugs..
Try another build or just install DVDx and use it to play your movies.
