Spent all day trying to fix my hard drive after powering off during an installation. Some kind sole helped me try and fix it but all efforts were in vain. I searched google and saw others talking about the Seagate ST310014ACE Hard Drive and I have the funny feeling that my xbox is furgucked for good. The general jist I got was that it cant be unlocked. Does anyone out there know how to unlock this drive. I have already tried Hotswapping and it just cannot read the drive. I do have the code if that is any help! Please share your genius!!!

you can try hdd unlock and unlockx , you can get both apps from xbins

If you have your eeprom you can remake it using Xboxhdm 1.9 and if you dont have a c drive folder with the neccecary system files slayers auto installer has a stock C drive backup in it.

Hi again, still struggling. Can someone tell me what mistakes I'm making with hotswapping. I've read the tutorial over and over and the thing I don't understand is what cables should be connected where. It says take the dvd ide out and the power away from the dvd which I've done. I take it I boot the pc and pause the bios, then switch the xbox on to unlock the hard drive. After that I've been plugging the hard drive to the pc using the pcs ide cable. Is that correct? Still says its locked. Where can I get slayers auto install? Thanks again for your help folks!
