I have a chipped xbox. Do not know what chip is in it, and am having trouble with my ISO files, that I make.

I have connected to my xbox via ftp and copied all files from game to HD on PC. The used Xiso and a few other progs to turn it into a xbox ISO and then burnt it using nero to DVD. For some reason it sees the DVD but the screen just goes black and does not do anything. Can anyone help me with my problem and possibly tell me where i can buy backups from.

what i have found to be easier is to use burn the game onto the xbox HD first. This also allows you to see if the game will fit.

then use FlashFXP to connect the xbox to the computer. Once the connection has been name, look for the drive that containg the game..

mine is F:xbox/game/(namegame) and open it.. then choose the highlight the folder of the game and hit the transfer button..

of course, make sure you are transfering it to your computer HD into a folder you created (title doesnt matter)

doing it this way allows you to go real fast.. it was transfering at 11,000KBps.. FAST
once that is complete.. download SImpleX (program to creat ISO).. click make iso. open the folder that contains the game.. just select that folder and when you click okay.. it will automatically pop up a save screen that *usually in the same folder* on where to save the game. just hit okay.

After it is done, i would use DVDdecrypter.. MODE -> ISO -> Writer.. search for the game... THIS IS WHERE THE FUNNY ICON COME OUT. it will be the ISO you made.. choose it and then burn it..

your done Smile

Very nice post tido_29 Smile

Another ISO Creation program I'd suggest looking at is C-Xboxtool. It's a great program with many features (ISO Extraction/Creation, FTP Transfer, ISO Viewer etc.)

Just my two cents...

Thanks for the Help Guys. Have tried what you said but when Copy placed in XBOX did not reconise the disk. Downloaded a few games and made a multi game CD using XISO and it worked. It just seems to be when I make a copy. Do u have any more suggestions. All XBOX Live Dashboard addon has been installed on my XBOX. Is there any way that i can take it off

what media are you burning on to.

I used a blank DVDR disk i bought online (bought 100 pack) and it works on the xbox (the back ups i mean)..

but when i went to back up a game using a DVDRW media (different brand) it didnt play. might be the problem.

oh and i changed my post a bit.. read it now and try it.. if you havent done that one already (edited it today in the morning)

I have been backing up and testing on DVDRW. This media does work on ISO that are downloaded of the web though. I will give normal DVD-R media ago on an ISO that I rip.
