is there an faq for installing this?
i have a softmodded xbox using evox. im going to try and just put the xbmc folder i downloaded and unzipped in my apps folder. will this work? also, do i need to create folders for my music and my videos and my pictures, etc? if so, where do they go? im a n00b sorry, but im trying to learn and i do know how to ftp the files over ok.

Yes & no
Yes put it in your apps, preff E:\apps and make sure it`s only called XBMC , i That way evox should see it & no you shouldn`t need to create any folders for it to run only if you want to rip music from cd`s
the line in the xml points to..

okay, so the problem now is that i cant view any of the links to things online. i can view most videos on my comp, still have some trouble with avi and mpg but not mpeg files. any suggestions?

Probably the #1 thing I can tell you if you are having problems viewing video is upgrade to a newer version of XBMC. I had some of the very same problems and once I upgraded versions, it all went away. _________________ Xbox 360

aye, i should have replied sooner, as i fixed the problem. the thing was it wouldnt play video files in the my documents folder, so they had to be transfered to the my videos folder to work. so yeah, thanks for the replies guys. _________________ "The condition of man...is a condition of war of everyone against everyone."
