hi supachris,
ok..
What bios did you flash your modchip with??
Let us know..
this is the steps you need to do it:
1. Burn XBOX-HQ Auto Installer/Slayers Auto Installer to a CDRW/DVD-r/RW etc
2. Install your new modchip
3. Install Your modchips bios as normal (normally M7 bios or newer)
4. Now that you have a hacked bios loaded onto your modchip you should be able to install evox onto your STANDARD RETAIL HDD.. Just follow the onscreen instructions from the Auto-Installer if you want to install to your RETAIL HDD (existing)
5. If you want to upgrade your HDD all you would need to do is change out THE OLD HDD with your NEW XBOX HDD and make sure all the jumper settings are the same.. (i think it has to be on cable select from memory).
6. Once you have installed the NEW HDD is will give you E12 or E13 (error loading dashboards) becuase your new HDD has nothing on it.
7. You need to use XBOX-HQ AUTO INSTALLER (boot it) and choose FORMAT/PARITION XBOX.
8. Once its finishe dyou can then choose to install EVOX Dashboard or any of the other apps from the menu.
9. YOU WILL NEED TO LOCK YOUR NEW XBOX HDD using CONFIG MAGIC (which is located on the autoinstaller cd iso)
10. Once you open config magic you just choose 'LOCK XBOX HDD' then wait..
11. Thats it your NEW HDD is ready to go..
12. DONE

Thanks for all the info forahobby, it actually was the chip.. when i put the case back on it was catching some wires for the external lcd and weakin the chip..so i too that off and it runs like a champ now.. Maybe this will help someone else too but i also used Xecuter2.4981 Bios i edited the bios so that i don't have a f and g drive.. the rest of the 200 gig drive is available to f: so instead of f haveing 130gigs and g having 60gigs f has 190+ space for games... i also used slayers auto installer to get the job done.. thats a great program!!
