I was so pumped about getting my box modded that I copied a few games and played for a bit. But I noticed that the green LEDs around the eject button turned orange, not flashing.
Does that mean the temp is too high?
If so, can I turn the fan round so that air blows on the cpu more directly?
Or should I just put in a bigger fan? _________________ XBOX v1.1 - Philips DVD

Check your AV cables. I was under the assumption that orange light indicated cables are incorrect.
Let me know if that helped. _________________ Good Deals: Death@Hand, funkydopenloven, StaticMind, Slamscaper, PorscheXboxter

i turned the box off for a while without touching anything else and the LEDs went back to green.
So, overheating was my guess. _________________ XBOX v1.1 - Philips DVD

i figured out what was wrong. my 'box isn't overheating it has something to do with XBMP. as soon as the app loads the LEDs on the front panel switch to orange.
oh well. i don't use xbmp anyway. _________________ XBOX v1.1 - Philips DVD

Cool, and I have just read some other troubleshooting and the orange light can be for both overheat and av issues, but mostly overheat.
As far as reversing your fan, that is not a good idea. You always want the fan to pull heat away, if you reverse, you will actually be doing more damage as you will just be trapping in heat.
Hope that helps _________________ Good Deals: Death@Hand, funkydopenloven, StaticMind, Slamscaper, PorscheXboxter
