I've had this problem for a while but now it's just REALLY driving me crazy. My xbox has been modded with an X-Bit and it has NEVER been region free!!! WHY??? Are there any reasons at all that this would happen? Please help me...

currently I think I'm using evox m7 bios but I've used m8, xecuter and one other I think. They didnt let me either. Well, I've tried to run JAP games and PAL games both and all they do is try to load and then bring me back to my Dashboard. I used the Xbox-Hq Auto Installer for my dash. After trying to play a game, if I check my memory on the M$ dash then the game's memory block is there!!! The thing that I'm currently trying to run, thoe, that's making me SO mad is the auto-update for Halo2 with the new maps on it... It MUST be PAL or J/NTSC because I've loaded plenty on my box before and never had this problem before UNLESS it was from a different region. Does the dash effect this? And if it does is there a way to load a different dash? God help me... I can't play on kai link anymore because EVERYONE has those new maps!!!

go into the evox settings and try setting the video region to "default" or "auto"
Default works for most games.

been at both of those settings. I wish fixing this problem was that easy. wpw, that's all anyone has ever told me to do to fix this problem. Is there really no other way? I mean... There should be some kind of explanation as to why it doesnt work besides the fact that it just kinda doesnt... That's ok thoe, this is usually when people stop replying because they dont know, lol...

It truly sounds like you did all you needed to do.. if you have the latest evox, which it sounds like you do, and you have tried M8 bios, and X2 4983 bios and still have the issue, then you definitely have an enigma there...
I am running a few machines, but my oldest is a 1.0 with a 200GB HD, Xenium Blue Chip with X2 4983.06 bios and I can put anything in the game tray and it will load without me even touching a setting...
Hopefully, someone else will have some suggestions for you

An enigma is something that is un-explainable.
Nah we won;t give up on you yet.
Unleashx allows you to patch the eeprom on the fly for video region, that should fix it but your tv would have to also support Pal as far as I know.
what if you try playing the games off the dvd and boot straight to them taking out the evox option?
Ive come accross very few games that I could not run with the default setting in evox

some pal games will not play regardless what u do ,
switch the video mode to auto , then switch the region to ntsc-m
then put the auto mode to off , then save the settings ,
this way it will force the ntsc on all games .
if you leave it on auto it will still work but if u dont have the tv that supports pal it will switch to pal mode and all u will see is flickering screen _________________ Xbox v1.0/1.1/1.5/1.6a
