I have been working non stop trying to get my mod chip ( aladdin advance) working. I installed it and i believe it is working because i got it to do the special boot thing with the lights going red orange then green, so i think its installed right, but i am not getting that blue screen that people have talked about ( the bios screen ). Do I need to upgrade my bios or something or do i not have the bios loaded yet? Someone please help me figure out how to get this bios menu screen aka the blue screen. Thanks a million!!!

You do not have a bios yet, unless your chip came with one...which I know it won't be a hacked bios.

You need to create a bios disk and try booting from that. Go to the tutorial section and look on creating bios disk as an ISO. Some people say the hardest part of modding a box is getting the bios on.

DJB has an autoinstaller here in the VIP download section. It too can flash your bios, partition HD, install apps, and your dashboard. However, from what I understand you have to have a bios on your box first before using the autoinstaller. I don't know if that is accurate, but you can always try downloading the autoinstaller and booting from it. If it works, you will have all kinds of options of which bios to install, which apps to install and how to partition your HD.

This is all based on your chip having the ability to be flashed from the HD and not a programmer. I don't know how the aladdin is flashed.

Hopefully, from there you will be okay. Just post if you need more help.
