Hello There. Let Me Start By Saying This Is A Cool Site. New Here And Just Wanted To Introduce Myself. I Have 5 Xbox's And Would Like To Mod One Since I Have The Extra Ones Lying Around. I Have Parts From 2 More Xboxs And 2 Playstation 2's Also. Parts From 3 Xbox Controllers, 10 PS2 Controllers And 3 PC's For Parts. I Want To Build My Own Usb Adapter For The xbox Controller And Possibly A Parallel Programmer For Flashing The Bios. I Want To Mod The Box Without Installing A Mod Chip If Its Possible. I Have Tons And Tons Of Wires,Cables,Extentions,Etc From All Kinds Of Equipment And All Kinds Of Parts Etc And Now I Just Want To Tweak Off This For A Good Two Weeks Or So. Ive Searched All Kinds Of Forums And Found Some Help But To Enough To Assure Me They Are All Possible. If ANyone Out There Can Help I Would Greatly Appreciate It. Thanks.

hi NVousMotorSports and welcome to xbox-hq.!
First of all.. I like to say it is possible to boot a backup a xbox without a MODCHIP but you may need 1 x modchip to start anyway so you can FLASH THE XBOX MOTHERBOARD BIOS..
There are a couple of ways you can go about doing a software mod (no modchip) but unfortunately i dont have the hardware to help you and havent done it myself yet.
If you buy yourself a modchip of any kind we can get you started in a jiffy here.. We have tonnes of VIP members and other cool normal members who can help!
So After saying all that... I suggest you get a modchip anyway..!
ALSO:
you cannot use a SOFTWARE MODDED (No MODCHIP) XBOX on the XBOX LIVE SERVICE AT ALL.. You can easily turn off any modchip to boot your xbox back to its standard form.

Now Is There a Way I Can Still Make My Own Usb Adapter? Or How About A Adapter To Use My Computer Monitor To Use As A Display? Controller Conversions Ive Heard Are Possible But Cant Find Anything On It. I See That You Can Buy One But I Really Want To Make One Myself. Does Anyone HAve One That They Can Open And Look To Tell Me What Wires Are Connected To What? Thanks Again For Your Help..

Oh And Im Planning On Going With A Few Different ModChips. I Guess So I Can Send Some Pics And All. I Plan On Using A CheapMod, A Aladdin Advance And The Third One Im Not So Sure Yet. I Will Take Photos Of The Process And All. If I Can Post Them Here That Would Be Cool. Just A Little Something For All The Info Ive Been Getting. So As Soon As I Get Those I'll Let You Know. Oh And If Guys Need Anything Like A Photo From Inside A v1.6 Let Me Know. I'll Be Happy To Take Some. Or Maybe Scrape Up A Few GPU's To Show The Points And All. I Got Nothing To Do Here. LOL

Ok., Hows this..
If you can take some nice pictures and maybe write some tutorials why your doing your little projects.. I can offer you a webserver (xbox-hq) ftp account so you can add images directly to our webserver..
Many of our VIP members here have a upload account to help add the many utils, dashboards and other xbox stuff so if you could start with some tutorials...
EVerything from.. Bought my XBox What Now! etc.. Up to Custom Mods etc
im working 7 days a week now so unfortunately i cant help you as much as i want to!!
