I had my Xbox upgraded years ago and now it doesnt play games from 2002 and up, do i need a new chip or download??? Very Happy Very Happy Shocked Confused Mad

I have yet to heat that one...that is just weird.

Do you know what chip you are running? Do you know what bios and what version of EvoX you are running?

When you say you upgraded it two years ago, be a little more specific. Also, have you not been able to play these games SINCE the upgrade, or did this just all of a sudden rear it's ugly little head.

For someone to effectively tell you what you can do, you will probably have to supply some more information so we don't send you on a wild goose chase.

Sounds to me like you could have a enigmah or enigmah-x modchip which were 1st generation modchips with 29 wires.. My first xbox had one of those in it which i soldiered but it did have lots of problems with the bios im sure.. It played most games fine but had issues with others..

Also, the enigmah/x ran a bios that didnt support upgrading the XBOX HDD. So i sold it!..

Actually, funny you mention it, my mate who bought it just upgraded the chip so he can run a 80gb hdd and get rid of those pissy problems he was having.

[OMA]GUNNER, im not sure if you can flash these chips from memory but i wouldnt worry about it anyway, just get another modchip!.
