Post subject: How to Enable Digital Audio?

Other than the default Analog output, i am not able to select other options such as Dolby Digital.

I have attached Advance AV Pack and connected an optical cable to my Dolby Digital decoder.

I have also taken a look at http://www.xbox.com/en-US/expertguide/dolbydigital.htm but instead of showing the Dolby Digital and DTS status in the MS Dash audio option, i am only able to select "Dolby Surround". Is my MS Dash different from what is described in the link?

Thanks for any help!

in the audio config page, select "dolby surround" as audio mode, i guess you already did that... then enable dolby digital and dts, you should see them under audio mode (enter each settings by pressings A and enable them).

make sure your optical cable is plugged properly, also make sure your receiver/decoder works fine with that very same cable (try another device). there's absolutely no reason it doesnt work besides a faulty cable or hd pack.
maybe upgrading msdash can help too... who knows?!

Actually, from my "research" in other xbox forums, the problem arised from using a 3rd party Advance AV Pack.
When i changed to microsoft original, i am now able to select Dolby Digital / DTS options!

Cheers!
