Hello all...
I have a friends xbox that he asked me to look at... it was modded with the aladdin advance chip... (I have not used them before at all) I did some reading to see how to activate it... I hold the power button for the 1 sec and the led goes red then orange, when I release it the led goes to green and the orginal bios loads. Holding it for the two seconds makes no difference. I am completely lost here. I know the box has been working fine for sometime now. There was no dashboard loaded, just the bios, which the executer bios (not sure which version). Does it need the bios reflashed??? How is this done???
Help me please.....
I have checked the do connection on the chip and the board, both appear to be good... I did also notice that the L2 pad on the chip was left un connected.. is this normal for this chip.. again it is the Aladdin Advance +...
When I hold the power button for the indicated second to turn on the chip the led goes red then orange... when I let go it just goes back to green and the normal bios loads... I am very glad I never even thought of buying this chip for myself...
can anyone help me... I would really like to get this going and be done with it

does it still load the xecuter bios?
check if it has a BT wire soldered , i think it needs it to boot in 2 different modes,
you might be able to reflash it with the autoinstaller if you need to , use 1mb bios size ,
if you cant i heard you might be able to flash it with xflash ...an xbox app i think
if it used to boot the xecuter bios and you are able to boot the oryginal bios then it sounds like everything was ok , maybe something got loose ? _________________ Xbox v1.0/1.1/1.5/1.6a
