this is my 1st post here and i got a stock black xbox, i get payed on tuesday and this months pay will be dedicated to a wicked xbox mod.
i am able to solder etc, so...what tools will i be needing to mod my box? what things are available?
is it possable to add my own stuff and run it off the power in the box?

Hey Pandaz, welcome to the site.
Glad to see you are getting into the modding scene.
There are a lot of things you can do to your Xbox to bling bling it out a little. For instance, you can add LEDs to the controller ports. You can also change the LEDs in the eject power board. That's what lights up the eject button. And, to top it off you can cut a hole in the top of your machine and add LEDs and a clear jewel so it glows out the top. Here is what that looks like when done:

I have also done EL Tape at the bottom of the machines for an underglow effect:
I hope this gives you a few ideas

You have certainly found the right place to ask that question.. Mod God has been doing some very very nice mods lately and has pictures displayed all over our HQ forums..
If you need a clear jewel and dont want to make your own original xbox jewel clear then have a look at our HQ Clear Jewels:
cheers for the info guys have been looking at themodgods piccies and i gotta say fair play . i have contacted decal girl about doing a custom all over decal with the naruto theme, for any of you hat dont know, naruto is gonna be hitting the english/usa market by the end of the year and the episodes at the moment are available to download....and all i can say is it r0x .
i take it all of that is powered off the xbox power modgod?, i have big ideas for my box.......got an a* in electronics at school and i wanna use it for good }

Just got home for the specialists so ill hopefully have time to ship it out today for you! If not then first thing in the morning.. It will take up to 14 days to received it but more then likely it wont take that long.
