If you can help okay, but can the sarcasm please. I have been doing all the reading and ftping to the xbox from day 1. Just looking for some possible insight into updating a program that i know not much about and can't find any tutorials online. I have put new games on and burned copies that work, changed almost everything inside and changed them back. Thanks for the url i will check it out. _________________ xbox v1.4

sorry mate.. I get carried away sometimes..
lets get onto it.
i need to find out how to update dvd2xbox version 0.5.1 which is in x-disk to version 0.5.5
PLEASE REMEMBER: You must have the evox dashboard loaded and running to ftp into your xbox.. This evox dashboard has a ftp client service installed. You can load the dashboard of a cdrw/dvd-r and it will still work correctly
Once you have connected via FTP to your XBOX using FLASHFXP you can then go and browse the directories as if it was a pc..
Everything xbox is setup differently.. So really all you need to do is find the xbox apps folder with dvd2xbox in it.. Probably under e:\APPS\DVD2XBOX or f:\APPS\DVD2XBOX on your xbox hard drive.. Just create another folder with the new version and copy the files into it.
for example make a folder on your xbox hard drive:
f:\APPS\dvd2xboxv2\
Then copy the new files from your pc into this folder..
Your evox dashboard should automatically find the folder on reboot and add the new version to your main evox menu.. If it doesnt show up correctly you may have to edit the c:\evox.ini file to add it..
Take one thing at a time.. You need to learn step by step.
