I'm pretty new to this. I've been reading and reading and I think now I'm thoroughly confused. From what I've gathered you have to have one of the three games to Softmod period... S,MA, or 007. I don't have any of those. Secondly how do I transfer the Softmod program to the xbox... do I need to burn it to disc or can I use a cross over cable. and lastly where can I get a copy of xboxhdm 1.9? ok I think that is all thanks.

You are correct. You need to have an origional copy of 007:Agent Under Fire, Spliter Cell or Mech Assault. These games can neither be the platinum nor the best selling version, it must be origional. Once you get the game save file (found in the VIP downloads section here, or regular places) you can use Action Replay (found at EB and others like it) or you may FTP the file to a modded xbox and then transfer to a mem card. The latest version of xboxhdm. is found in the VIP download section on this glorious site.

not sure how our Softmod installer Deluxe works. but far as i know you HAVE to have one of the original copies of oone of those games (no Platinum or special editions etc). then you need a Action Replay, a USB adapter + USb thumbdrive, or a modded xbox to transfer the exploit onto the unmodded Xbox. again not sure how the new SID works, but thats the gist of what you need to start
