Hi Guys,
Well i'm new to the land of SoftMods. I picked up an xbox and had some issues with the d0 point so I decided to just go with a straigh softmod using the Delux Installer from DJB.
Now I mostly use my xbox for viewing videos and playing only one or two games. The main game I play the hell out of is Rallisport 2 - And guess what doesnt seem to work with the softmod? I've tried running the game from hard disk, I've tried running the game from the purchased game disk itself. I've also tried copying over my saves to see if I could get past whatever was holding the game up from starting.
The game basically hits the first "loading" screen and craps out. I tried copying the game with dvd2box to see if it would patch the game somehow and force it to play, but didnt have any luck with that either.
Does anyone have any ideas as to what I can do to get this to work with a soft mod?

The first think I do when I have a game that doesn't seem to work, is try a few other games. A few in particular that seem to freeze in the same way as you describe are Halo2, NFSU2, and Burnout3. Normally this is caused by some files on the E drive in the cache folder. Also another thing could be the x,y, or z drives, i would clear out those 3 drives also. _________________

Dude, you just made my day. This did in fact fix the problem!!
I did blow away a few things in the Z directory that didnt scream cache to me, I guess that was OK...
