if you get banned from xbox live and need to put a new eeprom in, what would happen if you put a new hard drive in and formatted it using an autoinstaller? is the EEprom stored on the hd or the motherboard?

Its stored on the mb, but the HD key must match w/ the eeprom...short explanation, when u update ur box w/ the new eeprom using configmagic or other...its syncs them...but as far as i have seen (and i just got unbanned) they are detecting anything outside of stock drives so u can either use the swap or i have even seen case mods where they have installed a HD switch..
