I saw on my newsband that DoomX v2.1 Beta was released, but I can't find it. Anyone got any info on this? Please don't say xbins, because despite multiple efforts, I have yet to figure out how the hell to download something from there.

Wazzup!!
Dude I stuffed a tut here a couple of weeks ago doing a walk thru of using Xbins. It's sitting at http://www.xbox-hq.com/html/xbox-tutorials-103.html . Perhaps that would help with the Xbins. As far as Doom.... when you find out post it I love Doom and can't wait for Doom 3!!! _________________ http://twitter.com/HQ_Shark2th

Yeah, a bit more reading and a few keystrokes after posting, and I figured it out...
Anyway, DoomX 2.1 is crawling along my 56k. It's 11MB, so I won't be able to upload it. And I won't have a link to offer either.
However, if you do some reading, you might be able to figure out how to get it from Xbins, Shark2th. Lazy-ass...

HEY!!!! HEY NOW!!! I resemble that remark ya punk! Glad to see you could take something simple and make it harder than it needs to be.
Seriously, when your poor little modem gets done downloading about a week from now, let me know how it plays? Perhaps my sorry self could be convinced to read my tut and get out on Xbins too.... hahaha _________________ http://twitter.com/HQ_Shark2th

Hahaha!
It's about done now. I just hope it works better than v0.2. That build didn't even have music... And it crashed every time you saved or exited.
I'll let you know in a sec, though.

Works like a bitch. An AWESOME bitch!
The only real issue is that the package doesn't include the actual game... You need to have the .wad files from the retail games (or shareware if that's your thing) to be able to play anything.
Luckily I had a few o' thems on a disc somewhere. If you don't have them, you can probably find them. If not, I'll try packing them up and getting them hosted on a site to upload them here.
Expect to be playing Doom, DoomII, TNT, and Plutonia very soon!
(This one has music!)

Hey, I know it bro. I live in Middle-of-Nowhere, PA. We don't have steel mills, coal mines, or gangs to keep us occupied. Our get-up-and-go has gotten up and went. There isn't a Wal-Mart or Starbucks within a 40 minute drive of my location...
Still, it isn't as bad as say, Tennessee, I guess...

No I'm sure it's not. We don't sport them big ass cities like say Pittsburgh. We have empty beer cans hung from fishin string as wind chimes and if you stack two mobile homes here you have a two story. Our biggest attraction Elvis died over 30 years ago. Wanna talk about slow? You know we are going to get yelled at for going off topic.
Why would we get yelled at? We're having a general discussion about our homes and brews (empty beer can wind chimes), so it counts as General Homebrew Discussion!
Anyway, though, you gotta get the new DoomXv2.1B, because it roxorz my boxorz, and I know you'll feel the same. Now if you'll excuse me, I have to go chase the neighbor's kids outta my trash cans.

Hi all,
Dont forget if there is more homebrew stuff out and we dont have it available in our vip downloads area please submit it.. Just click on SUBMIT NEW and add your file. we will do the rest..
We need to keep on top of everything so we dont lose track..
Just do a quick search of the vip downloads area before you submit anything to be sure that it isnt already avaiulable.
id be keen to see the doom2.0 release. it would be cool
