Hey guys, long time no see. Well I got my xbox softmodded, up and running XBMC. Next step is I want to upgraded the HDD, one problem is that IDE HDD's are almost extinct. So I have a SATA Barracuda HDD that i want to use, I got a proper adapter this time Very Happy . Only thing now is how do i convert the new HDD into Xbox format ? I tried using the AID disc and just swapping out the hard drives, but that didnt work. From what I understand you need to be able to power both drives and hotswap the new HDD with the Disc drive ? Somthin like that ? Well I dont have a molex power splitter and have no idea how to make a molex power supply lol. So to get to the point, I need a way to format the new HDD with my computer. I have absolutely no IDE ports though. Does XBHDM support sata connections ? Is the any software that'll let me format it using a sata connection ? Any help is greatly appreaciated! Very Happy

You either need a chipped XBOX or a PC with IDE ports. Neither Xplorer360 or XboxHDM will register SATA ports

Yes. Use it to build and lock the HDD. A combination of Babylon and ConfigMagic with the eeprom will do the job
