Been redirecting a lot of youtube traffic to this site from a great newbie softmod video on youtube.
When they had extensive questions or problems I figured SPPV would know how to solve right off the bat, I happily recommended this site!
Unfortunately there have been two users now who claim that when the register they do not get an account confirmation email and are unable to PM anyone on here.
Do some sites like yahoo mail, hotmail or gmail not work with xbox-hq registration?
Thanks for the help Hobbs
Sorry for the double post, the one I posted with was an emergency one I made to contact and reactivate this account a few weeks ago.

Hotmail and Gmail seem to work best. Most issues Ive personaly seen are with other email clients
Just be sure to put HQ Related in the subject line so I know its not SPAM
Oh and pick one account and stick to it Halofan as its best not to run multiple accounts. Thanks

I have tested several times over and over with the following emails: Yahoo, hotmail, gmail and have never had any issues at all. Most users don't check their spam or junk folders, i think that's half the problem. Oh, and if it don't work halofan, how the hell do you have like 5 accounts in 2 weeks.. hahah
thanks for the headsup, i did tweak the outgoing email to stop bouncing, because it was accidentally sending two emails. That wouldn't have helped either.
If anyone has problems. They only need to contact me via the feedback page.. I will get back to them
Sorry about the extra account. I was using a computer that I hadn't logged off on for awhile and didn't realize it was the wrong one.
@ hobbs
LOL that is not my video. This is someone else's. It was my inspiration to softmod because the guy made it look so easy!
Definitely NOT my work.
I plan to make my own video sometime in a month with SPPV's autobuilder program and XBMC installer just for the hell of it from the very beginning, like downloading the files etc.

Email client/sending/push mail/mail IDs/email servers, etc. just confuse me. There is too much complication with email and I wish it was all simpler. _________________

It's funny because I'm one of them. Is this resolved? :S

We have tested signing up on Xbox-HQ via Hotmail, Yahoo, Gmail and various other ISPs and it works just fine. Please remember to check your SPAM and JUNK folders as I did notice that it occasionally popped up in there.
Still having problems registering?
Please contact the site admin here.
^^ i can "semi" backup the nature of this thread, NOT by myself having issues but one member in particular!
i contribute to "another" place and this member is also from "there"...he had to pm me there so i could relay a message to the upper staff! i'm not sure the "member" resolved the issue in itself but rather, DODGED it entirely after several attempts to register onsite! ideally he wanted to carry his username from there to here (as i did) but he wasn't that lucky!
the confirmation emails weren't getting through so he had to use another email; provider!
i didn't ask him which one as he seemed to get his foot in the door eventually! (his username is TOTALLY alien to what it would've been as a result of not being able to register the first time around!)
my email provider is HOTMAIL so i know they're safe here....at least on my side anyway....
no doubt it will be resolved in good time! _________________ to all my friends... farewell and all the best to future prosperity... and remember, be excellent to each other!
