hello, just your local brain-donor getting to grips with the forums and been digging through the older threads.
I've discovered while a lot are wrapped up in resolution, some are NOT and have been left for DEAD with NO resolution since 2006 (earliest i've found so far)
so, i'll be marking all the "useless" threads/posts or rather, the subjects that are MEGA old that NEVER saw resolution FOR SUMMARY DESTRUCTION to clean up some much needed forum spaces.
Chances are these same type of threads already exist elsewhere but in a column of responses...in which case, these will be LEFT ALONE! (they still serve purpose for somebody new digging and finding an answer that they can use!)
Bottom line is, i'm cleaning up and that's one of the reasons i was asked to come here...i plan NOT to disappoint!
All threads/posts deemed as bunk/irrelevant/UNRESOLVED will be marked up for summary destruction and the list will be forwarded to upper level staffs for their perusal and APPROVAL! (i'm taking of OLD threads here...some threads are still new and pending resolution) all i'll be doing is cataloging the "shit" and forwarding that to the staffs!
of course, i'd appreciate ANY and ALL input from the good folks of HQ on this...truthfully, i could do with pointers but i'll not ask as i'll figure it out in the end!
Constructive critique and advice is ALWAYS welcome (provided it's with clarity and respect...i point out the status-quo there, apologies as i am new but....i have a job to do all the same. you understand i'm sure)

You can go about it 2 ways
1)Record the links and pass em to me when youre done
2)Use the move feature and move them to my installer sub forum and I can deal with em from there
Option 1 is best though. And make sure you install Skype and add me, you know my info. Then its easier to keep in contact and if you have any questions. Also we have info that will help get you up to speed in the mod forum.

option one would likely be easier for me as i can just copy and paste the links to text document and forward that direct to you!
been looking at the other buttons but other than to chip-in on a locked subject, (once so far, useful links thread) i don't plan on touching them as they are...well dangerous and you know what they say "when in doubt, avoid like the rozzers" so yeah..no button presses!

as for the skype, i'll need to get the usb telephone device as well, that's gonna be a fortnight off at least till ca$h comes in a bit.
i'll look into setting up the skype ui anyway so when i get this usb "phone"...
it'll all fall into place!
i fear i maybe slow at this anyway, don't wanna f#&@ anything up or tread on toes so i'll "even" speed (without the lazy) so i'm not rushing my bollocks off, (quality over quantity)
i refuse to start dicking with the buttons till we've got the skype "two-way" convo deal because of the "bring up to speed" part!
i think i maybe a poor choice here (at least for the speed side) as fast working is not my bag...you've seen my item descriptions at TIZ and UG and although it's NOT scripting and most could throw it up in a flash, i'm not one of them because i'm meticulous and having to correct type error before it's submitted!

aye, will get the skype usb phone ASAP and in the meantime, i'll be listing the shit threads and pm the list to you!

Doesnt have to be the phone approach, we just use the type-talk. Hell I dont even have the phone or a mic or webcam so I woudnt be able to talk back anyways.

now this is going to sound retarded but i'm having MASSIVE issues on the setup...
the brief absence was because the first install attempt crashed my computer...
then i restart and find another skype download...great but i try to create an account and if the captcha doesn't fail me, the refresh spits me back out with some lame none-descript erroe "review details"...i've filled in all the fields bar one and i'm NOT comfortable doing that....it's asking for a valid mobile phone number and i try to put a fake number in, i still get rejected!
apologies if this is daft but idkwtf went on with my computer the first time around and now it seems i'm being stone-walled on some non obvious fault?
is it possible you could assist me? i'm not even sure if you can (no disrespect) as the ui seems straight forward enough but any insights would be welcome!
