I'm putting my second Xbox in a new case which isn't supposed to be a computer case. It is just a see though storage box really. After getting the Xbox in, I want to put a amp and speakers in there so you can enjoy good sound without a good TV. I also have a few other ideas to make it look good.

So far, I have found something I can mount the mobo on. It is just a wooden board but I'm going to spay that matallic silver to give a nice effect under the mobo and PSU. Under that board will be a ring of 12V red LEDs and a block of wood which will hold everything together. I'm hoping that will give the effect the board is floating on the red light.

I'm also going to put a couple of fans in there. I have two fans, one is lit by blue LEDs and the other is a super quiet 5-6cm magnetic levitation fan that I think I will cool PSU with. I think I might also buy a cool looking heatsink for the CPU as well.

I also have lots of other lights and a supplier of LED strips which I think I might use for a LAN/HDD activity light.

I haven't really got started yet but I have prepared a bought a lot of stuff for it so I really hope it works out well and once it is done I will feel proud I've done it.

Any comments/advice/motivation is welcome. If anybody has done anything like this when I would like some things to look out for so it doesn't fail.

If you plan on using wood get a can of poly urethane and spray it with that first so it will have plastic layer and wood will be sealed. That way no risk of fire etc

'Mar 25, 2012'

Long time ago that was. Well, it failed, and now I'm focusing on the Xbox laptop which I haven't bumped for a while.
