Hey everyone, I am having a huge issue...I soft modded 2 XBOX's, one was modded for awhile with a 160 GB hard drive, and the other I was modding with the OEM hard drive (this is all softmodding)
Everything was fine with both, had the dashboards running, evox etc. But out of curiousity, stupidity (and not reading enough) I wanted to see what would happen if I unlocked the drives. Did it on both for whatever reason. So now the problem is, I have two hard drives, that are properly modded, systems that go to both, but my only back ups of the eeproms are the ones I backed up just through evox. Is there anyway I can lock these again and just put them back in, or access the codes saved on to the folders of these drives? I tried to burn multiple copies of xboxhdm but everytime its boots its all blank except "select an option" or something around that, pressing a key or enter does nothing though, just sits there with the same phrase.
Anyone have a more clear walkthrough of how to make the disk bootble correctly?
I am kinda limited on the PC I have; no USB, no DVD drive thing is a 96 gateway with a 133 pentium and 48MB of RAM lol. And my other PC is a laptop...
Finally if there is anyway I can just wipe the drives, but make them XBOX bootable, I will take it, I don't have an issue going through the modding process again, I just need these XBOX's to work!
Please and thank you in advance.
Both XBOX's give me the error code 5 FYI

Error code 5 is an unlocked hard drive.
Since both of the drives are unlocked, you should be able to hook up the hard drives to your computer and then use 360 xplorer to find the eeprom file on the hard drive. Once you have the eeprom for both, you can use XboxHDM to relock each hard drive with its respective eeprom. _________________

Well I am reading that xboxhdm needs at least 64mb of ram to work.
So I guess this is my issue of not being able to get it to boot?

You can run Pimped CD Edition in Failsafe Mode and use it to copy the eeprom file to a floppy disc for locking

I have no DVD on this PC, meaning this has to go on CD, and only 48MB of ram.
Unless you have a smaller edition that runs on CD..

Ive got an old ass celron here thats weaker than my XBOX and I can run in Failsafe Mode on it. Regular mode it just freezes, not enough juice, but Failsafe shuts down all un needed peripherals while HDM is running freeing up memory

Did you burn it at 24x with Imgburn? And is your PC set to boot from disc and the BIOS recognizing the CD-drive OK?

I used DVD decrypter, and I didn't burn it at 24x I did 1x, but I'll try 24x;
This is the same error I was getting with Xboxhdm....

people throw out computers all the time.
no real excuse why you cant get a better pc for free to softmod on, unless you live in a mud hut.
ask computer repairs if they are recycling something you can have for free, tell them its for your illiterate uncle to learn to read on or something.

Yeah no luck. I think I just need something more modern for a PC; I'll look on Craigslist or see if a friend has one, and try to let you know what happens on that.
Thanks for all the help either way.
