what video codec can xbmc handle the best?
also. what programs do you use to encode the movies?
i use handbrake and have issues from time to time.

Ive had great results using X264 and Avi (DivX/Xvid). For encoding I use either Nero 10, AVC, or Corel Video Studio. Also be sure to use a nice new XBMC as it will support more formats including H264 and MKV

I wish XBOX-HQ was more active. If I post a question, I return once a day to check for an answer. In an active site, you would expect an answer or post within the hour.

Thats what happens when the people who do the support here have full time jobs and families. Theres only a few regular staff left besides myself that still come around on a regular basis. I answer as quick as I can and no matter what Id be willing to wager that we are more active than most other XBOX1 sites and I think we are the only ones left besides XBMC4XBOX that are still developing and releasing apps and softmod packages for the XBOX.
