Hello guys... I thinking to upgrade my xbox hard drive and I want to know what type of HD I need to buy. the HD need to have some special caracteristics?

can I use this 2 HD

1. Western Digital 200GB 7200rpm HARD DISK
2. HITACHI 160GB 7200RPM HARD DISK

There's no way to tell from just that info. You need to know if the HDD has ATA-Security locking. There's a site around somewhere that lets you check if people have had success with locking a particular harddrive, but you need the model number. Just Google "xbox harddrive locking" and you should find it.

I would go for WD or Maxtor 90% are lockable and few have probs

I had a batch of seagates that were lockable on the list, not a single one of them was.
